David Carroll is responsible for the Renewables activities that encompass utility scale wind and solar, distributed generation and storage, he is focused on development, engineering, construction, operations, and maintenance – including partnership management. In addition, Dave has oversight of all business support functions for North America.
He joined ENGIE North America in August 2020 as Vice President for Grid Scale Renewables.
David has more than 15 years of experience leading construction, engineering and program management teams across the renewable energy industry, including wind, solar, bioenergy, and storage technologies, contributing to more than 7 GW of renewable energy globally.
Jean-François “Jeff” Chartrain is the Managing Director of the Energy Solutions GBU in North America. Comprised of 800+ team members, the Energy Solutions team is responsible for delivering comprehensive decarbonization solutions including heating, cooling, distributed power, steam, and emobility for customers across sectors, working with the highest standards of safety and operational excellence. Jean-François has been a part of ENGIE for over 20 years, starting in 2003 as the Technical Department Director of Climespace (District Cooling of Paris), with additional roles as Chief Operating Officer of Marafeq Qatar in 2008, and as Director of Technical Department and Engineering and Board Member of the City of Aosta district heating plan for ENGIE Italy in 2013. After four years in the United Arab Emirates as the Chief Operating Officer for Tabreed, he returned to Italy to cover the role of District Heating & Communities Solutions Director, also taking on the role of ENGIE Reti Calore CEO. In 2023, Jean-Francois took on the leadership role overseeing all Energy Solutions activities in North America.
Over the span of his career in the energy services industry, Jean-Francois has managed solutions for cities, communities, and industries across the world. Under his leadership, Jean-Francois’ teams have engaged thousands of customers to design and deliver customized energy solutions focused on sustainability, efficiency, and resiliency.
Jean-François holds an engineering Master’s degree from Ecole Nationale Superieure d’Electricité et de Mecanique (ENSEM) and an Executive MBA from ESCP-EAP Paris.
Anne-Laure Chassanite is our Managing Director, Networks, North Am. For one year, she will add this responsibility to her current position as Project Director Hydrogen Storage at Storengy UK.
Anne-Laure joined ENGIE in 2007, holding positions such as SAP Project Manager and Desk Manager for GDF Suez. Subsequently, she led the Retail Market West area and then took on leadership of the Operation and Maintenance area for GrDF. She joined ENGIE North America as VP Power Supply, with her most recent role being Managing Director for Storengy UK.
With these critical assignments and a master’s degree in Law from Science Po Paris, Anne-Laure has more than 17 years of experience in our sector. She is an expert in the value chain in Europe and the United States, supporting the international development of the business with the implementation of best market intelligence practices.
Eric is responsible for our Flexible Generation assets, which we are building to further enable our continued growth in intermittent Renewables. This comprises the development, construction, and operation of our Energy Storage, Green Hydrogen and gas-fired Generation assets. Eric joined ENGIE 15 years ago in Belgium, and has served in a variety of leadership roles in the domains of engineering, energy trading and investment finance. Most recently he has, in the US, been involved in the investment of several GW of wind and solar, multiple large-scale M&A transactions, and has overseen the related Tax Equity and Equity financings.
Oumar Ndoye is our GBS North Am Country Lead & Head of GBS HR Americas. His career within ENGIE spans 19 years, and previously, Oumar oversaw Integration and Transformation for ENGIE North America.
Oumar brings his business and IT expertise in the gas, thermal and renewable sectors to ENGIE. Additionally, he has worked in many other sectors such as high technology, steel industry and transport. He has significant experience in private and public sectors, as well as leadership roles in civic and non-profit organizations. Oumar is a graduate Engineer and PhD in Industrial Systems Engineering from French Ecole Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers.
Shobhita leads IT, cyber security, data and digital solutions and services in the North Am region. She will work with the global Digital and IT function, local business, and functional teams to ensure that data and technology deliver and protect value for Renewables, Energy Solutions, Thermal & Supply, and to the corporate business functions in the North Am hub.
Shobhita, who has more than 25 years of IT experience, spent the past 15 years of her career at Adient, where she was Vice President, Innovation and Analytics, with global responsibility for Digital Transformation, Big Data Analytics, Enterprise Architecture and IT representation in the Adient Sustainability mission.
Andrea is responsible for leading Corporate Communications for ENGIE North America. She joined ENGIE in 2020, starting out as Director of Internal Communications, later expanding her role to include external communications.
Andrea has more than 25 years of experience leading communications and culture change efforts. Prior to ENGIE, she was the Chief Communications Officer for the International Facility Management Association, as well as founded SparkStory, LLC, developing customized communications strategies to enhance employee engagement and customer trust. Her portfolio includes work for ExxonMobil, Sodexo, Nokia, MKB Excellent Executive Coaching and the Houston Writers Guild.
Jacques Boonen is ENGIE Impact’s Chief Executive Officer and works alongside ENGIE Impact’s executive committee to fulfill our vision of accelerating decarbonization progress for companies, governments and organizations around the world.
He joined ENGIE in 2008, and in France and Belgium he developed expertise as a lobbyist and regulatory affairs expert. In 2016, he was appointed Chief Strategy and Innovation Officer within ENGIE France’s Renewables business unit. In 2019 he moved to Houston as Chief Strategy and Business Development Officer and in 2021 began overseeing the distributed and solar business in North America.
